John Jones is an energy industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience in the development, acquisition, commercial execution, and financing of renewable, energy storage and natural gas fired independent power projects. Prior to joining R3 Renewables, John served as an advisor to Riverstone Holdings focused on storage, solar, and distributed energy investments. Previously, he was Managing Director at GE Energy Financial Services, where he originated equity investments in independent power projects across a range of technologies. Before GE, John was instrumental in the growth of Invenergy’s wind business and the launch of Lincoln Clean Energy (now Ørsted North America Onshore). John has a BBA degree from the University of Texas and a Masters in Accounting from the Texas McCombs School of Business.
