Jia Ling has over 12 years of experience in GIS, with expertise in a variety of areas such as cartographic design, spatial analyses, and GIS application in project development. Prior to joining R3 Renewables, Jia was the GIS manager at Lightsource bp. At Lightsource, he led the GIS workstreams on 1.4 GW of operating projects and a 2.7 GW project pipeline. Prior to Lightsource, Jia spent several years at the National Park Service, where he focused on GIS application for water resource management, compliance, and reporting. Jia earned his BS in Wildlife Biology and MS in GIS from Colorado State University, before attaining his MBA from University of Colorado – Colorado Springs.
